Publications and Papers

Networks Financial Institute has an extensive library of resources available for use.  To begin, you can search by topic, subtopic, or publication type (books, policy briefs, working papers, or reports; see below for further description) or for an advanced search including keyword, author, and more search publications and papers here.

Publication Type

  • NFI Books –  Our books grow out of NFI research programs and typically are edited volumes of works presented in these programs, including working papers or Policy Briefs, as well as other related articles prepared for these books.  Since these works are topical collections, they draw out new insights and research on specific policy issues.
  • NFI Reports - These reports, most often by NFI staff, synthesize data and information, combine and compare the results of other studies, or offer new analyses on issues, sometimes in the form of position papers.
  • Policy Briefs These are our flagship publications on critical issues confronting the financial services industry and policymakers. These analyses of policy issues are generally written by NFI Fellows and other experts upon whom NFI draws for research on leading public policy issues affecting financial markets and the financial services industry.
  • Working Papers  Working papers are research reports, technical papers, discussion papers, occasional papers, and most often early versions of research papers intended for publication in peer reviewed professional journals. Papers delivered in various NFI public forums also are often included in this series.

ResearchBuzz - The ResearchBuzz newsletter is a way for NFI to quickly update NFI constituents and supporters on the public debate surrounding NFI's research agenda topics. This publication also offers information about effective research practices and focuses on the activities of the NFI graduate fellows.
