Mentoring Program

The mentoring program through the Networks Professional Development Program is aimed at preparing the Scholar and guiding them throughout their four-year education.  Networks Scholars will have the opportunity to be part of the mentoring program, both with faculty and corporate throughout their four years.

Year 1: Understanding Myself

  • Student-led teams plan and host a variety of culinary cultural experiences throughout the year to initiate the expansion of their world views and facilitate better relations with their ISU Faculty mentors.

Year 2: "Me" As Part of a Team

  • Individual faculty mentor, second year of the relationship

Year 3: Team Within an Organization

  • Faculty mentor- year 3 of relationship
  • Corporate mentor-Each scholar is paried with a mentor from the industry to give them insight and background about the industry and what is needed to succeed.

Year 4: Leading in an Organization

  • Faculty mentor-year 4
  • Corporate mentor- year 2
