Finances & Figaro — Networks Financial Institute and
Financial Planning Association Team Up for Evening at the Opera
(January 24, 2006 – Indianapolis, Ind.) – Music and money will come together as Network Financial Institute at Indiana State University’s (NFI) Director of Outreach, David Godsted, delivers the keynote address at The Financial Planning Association of Greater Indiana’s “Evening at the Opera” event on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 6:45 p.m., at Clowes Hall on the campus of Butler University.
Godsted’s experience includes a breadth of international, regional and local initiatives targeting a range of literacy issues. During the keynote, Godsted will share some striking facts regarding Indiana student’s financial literacy as measured in the first state-wide study of Indiana high school youth’s financial literacy. He will also preview some first-in-the-nation financial literacy initiatives NFI is spearheading. “Sound personal finance skills know neither age nor level of affluence barriers. By partnering with financial literacy-minded organizations such as the Financial Planning Association of Greater Indiana, NFI aims to share our vision of creating a more financially literate community,” said Godsted.
Following Godsted’s keynote address, attendees may enjoy the Indianapolis Opera’s full dress rehearsal performance of “the Marriage of Figaro.”
